Ramiro Garza for Congress
Ramiro's Story
Ramiro Garza officially filed his documents with the Texas Democratic Party in Austin Monday, seeking the office of U.S. Congress. Surrounded by his wife, Maria, and his two children, Garza signed and submitted the paperwork to party officials.

Garza commented, “I’m excited to file today for U.S. Congress to represent the people of South Texas. I look forward to the campaign ahead and to letting people know what makes me the most qualified and experienced person to send to Washington.” He continued, “I know there’s a lot of uncertainty surrounding the district lines, and we won’t know the precise boundaries of the district until the Supreme Court takes action. For my part, I’m certain that I’ll be running for U.S. Congress to represent the people of South Texas.”

Garza makes for a unique candidate because of his long professional career in economic development and community asset building. He has a record of experience in positioning local communities such that they can maximize economic opportunities to build infrastructure and create new, good jobs.

Last Saturday morning, Garza held an official announcement event in Port Isabel. The gathering brought together more than 250 of Garza’s supporters.
